I was thinking how high school was like when I went compared to what it is now. I think people's actions and attitudes are essentially the same. Some studious, some trouble makers. I guess a real difference would be technology. No more bulky Discmans or 486's. Maybe they even use LCD monitors now. Hairstyle and clothing is also different. More slim designs jackets and jeans. No many mid-length jackets and baggy jeans. Hair that is more messy (and colored) instead of combed. And glasses with wide-rim temples (eg: D&G... too many out there!). And lots of hoodies too! Speaking of jackets, I realized that the three jackets I wear most often are all mid-length whereas everybody I see around me wear the regular length ones. Besides my UVic jacket (won't want to wear that often!) and jean jacket, I don't really have any. I have a brown Pierre Cardin that I remember getting from the Bay for about $50. It wasn't bad except I can't be wearing it all the time because that'll make it look like a rag. Hmmm..... maybe I can't be holding my money so tight on something like this. I mean, if everybody is wearing similar stuff and I'm wearing this big black mid-length winter jacket, I might not look very attractive. And besides, it makes me look more sullen.
Well, the weather should be warming up now. So maybe I can save. I mean, I still got thin zipper front tops that can be used like jackets as long as it isn't too cold out there - ten or so degrees should be okay. Plus I do have a couple of hoodies that are descent enough to wear out there. And they're the full zipper front ones. Those seem to be most popular in recent years. No furry hoods though, but whatever.
