restaurant frustrations

  • When my family go eats with relatives or friends, my parents usually asks out loud: "Did you call people?" (meaning: did you greet the persons). Like, hello?!! Just because you didn't hear me (because you were busy talking or something), doesn't mean I did not call people. And asking whether I called people or not is just another way to tell everybody that despite your son's age he still needs to be reminded about his manners. You may not lose face but I certainly do.
  • When the teapots arrive, I am told that I need to be sharper and pour the tea. But we just got the teapot! So then when I start pouring the tea, like 20 seconds after we get the teapot, you would tell me that I should wait for the flavor to seep out. What the f*ck. Excuse me, but I'm not a robot. I don't have buttons for you to press whenever you want something to be done. So f*ck it. I'll pour the tea when I feel like.
  • Oh, and I'll always be the last one to finish. Because I'm always the one to finish the remaining food. One ear is hearing Uncle 5 telling me not to hurry. The other ear is hearing you telling me to hurry. And there have been 2 or 3 times when you all actually rush to pay everything and then actually get up while I'm still hurrying to finish the food. Like, you actually get up and leave! What the f*ck do you think I am?? Even the waiter felt uneasy to pack up the dirty dishes.
